Opportunity to do Good
During the Covid-19 pandemic, haircuts became a distant thought as people eschewed hair salons. But this spring, with the vaccine widely available, people are cutting their locks and doing good in the process.
Hair donations are up, reports the Washington Post in its April 22 article “Our long pandemic hair is finally getting cut — and hair donation charities are overwhelmed.“
“Many of us saw pandemic hair as a borderline-annoying predicament. A test of vanity,” the story reports. “Others, like [Diane} Brewer, saw their newfound abundance of hair in a different way: as an opportunity to do good.”
