100+ WWC Supports Hair Matters
The nonprofit organization 100+ Women Who Care Southern Maine selected Hair Matters as their recipient charity (scroll down) for the third quarter of 2019.
“Hair Matters’ mission is to validate, celebrate, and revitalize participants’ sense of self-identity,” the organization said. “by offering free professional salon services and resources in a non-medical setting to those affected by cancer treatment and related hair, skin. and nail changes.”
Debby Porter, Hair Matters founder, was overwhelmed to be chosen by the organization and to receive $16,700 at a time critical to Hair Matters’ momentum.
The mission of 100+ Women Who Care Southern Maine “is to reach out and help our community by finding 100 and more women to each contribute $50 four times a year in order to give $50,000+ annually to local charities.”
